I have shared many unforgettable moments with my children in Oregon’s wild areas, scaling snowy summits and exploring deserts and canyons. Away from the distractions of modern life in the beauty of nature, it is easy to make wonderful memories.
Unfortunately, if the people of Oregon don’t act to protect our wild places like the Owyhee Canyonlands, there will be nothing but memories and old photographs. The next generation will only be able to tell their children about all the great places that used to be and show them pictures of the adventures they had growing up. I hope you will join me in the effort to protect Oregon’s Owyhee Canyonlands and keep it the jewel it is today. Our children and grandchildren deserve the chance to make their own memories.
